The event was held under the patronage of Assistant Governor of Zarqa, Hakem Al-Alawneh, and attended by Zarqa Mufti Sheikh Hisham Naseer, Director of Awqaf Dr. Ahmad Al-Harhashah, the mosque's imam Dr. Khaled Al-Zoubi, as well as a large group of worshippers and community representatives.

In his address, Sheikh Hisham Naseer highlighted the profound meanings of the Prophet’s Hijrah (migration), describing it as a pivotal moment in Islamic history that laid the foundation for the first Islamic state. He emphasized that the Hijrah teaches reliance on God alongside planning, effort, and practical action.

Dr. Ahmad Al-Harhashah affirmed that the Hijrah represents both a spiritual and practical model for reviving the Muslim nation through conscious faith and sincere work. He noted that this timeless event teaches how adversity can be turned into opportunity and weakness into strength through honest intentions and righteous deeds.

On the sidelines of the event, a specialized course was launched for Quran memorization, recitation, and Tajweed (correct pronunciation) tailored for the elderly. The course enrolled 26 participants from the local community and will run for three months under the supervision of qualified instructors.

Dr. Al-Harhashah explained that the course is part of the directorate’s ongoing efforts to promote Quranic literacy and strengthen the community’s connection with the Holy Book across all age groups. He stressed that the Quran is not limited to a certain age but is a comprehensive guide for life, instilling high moral values and proper conduct for both worldly and spiritual success.

He further emphasized the importance of implementing Quranic teachings in daily life, stating that gatherings of knowledge and remembrance serve as lifeboats in times of uncertainty, guiding people back to peace and enlightenment.
