Import of 480,000 Mobile Phones Worth 44 Million Dinars Since the Beginning of the Year

Jordan's imports of mobile phones during the first third of the current year amounted to approximately 480,000 devices, with a total value of 44 million dinars.اضافة اعلان

According to a statement by the Roya Association for Investors in Mobile Devices and Accessories on Sunday, these figures reflect a decline compared to the same period last year, which saw the import of 628,000 devices worth 51 million dinars. In 2023, the imported quantities reached around 521,000 devices with a value of 53 million dinars.

The association’s president, Ahmad Aloush, stated that Jordan’s mobile phone market has witnessed notable diversity in brands and technical specifications, providing consumers with a wide range of options across all price categories.

He pointed out that these indicators align with global trends in the smartphone market, which experienced a slowdown in growth during the first quarter of 2025, recording a slight increase of only 0.2%, with total shipments reaching 296.9 million units.
